Does anyone think we'll buy up more land over there? It seems like we have a lot of land on West Campus but not enough large open spaces to do enough with. Seems like neighbors are close everywhere.

I have talked to folks in the AD about lights at the baseball stadium, and they did not sound optimistic at all. Which is too bad. If we want to host any kind of postseason play, we will need them.

So we're going to build this nice new baseball stadium, and they aren't going to put up lights as well? Makes so much sense. F*** the houses nearby - this kind of thing happens all the time.

The double edged sword of being located in a wealthy suburban area. Having been to The U many times, I'm still amazed they were able to do what they did with Mark Light Stadium in Coral Gables. They got everything in place by the mid 1970s and built from there.

Should of built an indoor multipurpose arena. I know baseball is meant to be played outside, but its also meant to be played under the lights!

Maybe something like the Fargodome.

I would just build them - they don't need permission - just do it and let the people get used to it.

Actually - Mason - being a state university being on its own land does not have to follow neighborhood zoning laws. They could put the lights up regardless of what the NIMBY's think - but try to work it out to keep up relationships with the town.

I say f*ck them.
Does Mason really care what ~4 houses on West Campus think 8 nights out of the year? These people knew where their property was when they bought it. They should just be thankful it isn't a party school.

Maybe we can give 'em a taste of WVU or Maryland and leave one of these in the front yard.

Sigma Chi back on campus yet? Pretty sure their 10 year ban is over.
It's either up this fall or next, but I have a feeling this one. The school added Beta as well but I don't think they're allowed to have rush until the spring. It's become a bit of a clusterf**k.

It's up this fall but they still have to apply for reinstatement.

Not sure of the exact numbers, but they have significantly more than 10-15 and have a pretty strong chapter. I expect them to be reinstated soon, as they have been recognized by nationals during the entire probation period and have received national awards as a chapter.
