Sad DP cant close on some studs. I guess we will get there on day with all the diamonds in the rough he lands. Until they arent diamonds.

I mean since he already knows where he's going is it really "down to 4"? He wasn't going to Umass. Once Butler and Wichita St entered the picture I knew we weren't getting him. It would have been awesome to get him but we don't necessarily need him next season.
I can see us having a really strong season next year and that helping us land some of these reaches. Kids like to play for winning programs, sometimes you gotta win before they'll come.

although it pains me to say it, Wichita State and Butler are better programs than we are. Bummed we aren't in it for Burton...but happy with what we already have. He would've been icing on the cake.

I wasn't expecting Burton to choose us at this point, but being the only school removed from the list (if true) stings a little bit.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with landing Hartwell at PG? Again, don't think Burton would of picked us anyway, and I would rather grab Hartwell then gamble on Burton and lose both.

Anyway, where do we stand at this point? Anyone have a list of the transfers we've been rumored with in the last few weeks?

Two names I remember: CJ Keyser from Wichita State and Anthony Tarke from NJIT.

Also Ryan Daly from Delaware but he committed to Saint Joe’s.

I agree. Do we take offense to being the only team cut from the list, does it help us to not have to hold the scholarship and wait another day, or both?

I don't think we should take offense. He wants to be a PG and we signed a PG during his visit here. We also have 3PGs on the roaster now.

Rumors are UMass could have several more players transferring out. So, maybe playing time?

Tarke is visiting Kansas State next week. I can't find anything recent on Keyser.

Yup, only 2 true PGs in Otis and Hartwell. Technically Javon Greene is a PG...or at least in HS he was. Kier can run the point too. Perhaps he was thinking one of those.

Javon was handling the ball a little bit towards the end of the season, but he doesn't really run the point like Kier or Otis obviously. I suspect he will continue to be more off the ball and Otis/Kier/Hartwell will run the point. I can see them mixing and matching depending on what they want to do and giving Javon a few possessions if needed.

It'll be interesting to see who they go after for the last scholarship. Would they go after another big man transfer, or maybe they try to get another pure shooter. And of course it very well could be best available.
