Let's just count on her being as successful as the last Grad Transfer the women's team brought in. Those shouldn't be hard shoes to fill.
You mean the 30th overall pick in last night's WNBA draft?!

getting drafted in the 3rd round makes you a top 30 pick? damn WNBA a lot smaller than I thoughtYou mean the 30th overall pick in last night's WNBA draft?!

we have no chance for him now
So with the last scholarship would you guys prefer burton/freshman or a grad transfer?
I do want a grad transfer. It'll have to be a guy though that can come in and give 10 pts a game minimum. I want Otis and Grayer to taste the big dance, we all know they deserve it. I don't think having just 2 seniors is enough to get there next season.

Wow they are really rolling out the red carpet for this kid. With all this attention he probably thinks he'll be a starter from day one. If he isn't Butler better be ready for him to transfer after year one lol.So, Burton is in Indy at Butler and he just posted a pic of a newspaper article about him that ran in the Indy paper.
This kind of pisses me off. Wouldn’t it be nice to have something like this at Mason - a media outlet that knowingly or not, covers and helps recruit players to your team? It would be one thing if Butler was in the middle of nowhere, but this is in the Indy paper. I don’t think that the Washington Post is going to do anything like this, but it sure would be nice to have one of the smaller local N Va papers cover our team a little more.
Rant over. Just hate seeing something like this make any impact with a kid when it’s something out of our staff’s control.

Don't want a grad transfer. Our starting 5 is pretty set next year, and even our bench should be pretty solid. It's already going to be tough finding minutes for the freshmen coming in and there's no reason to crowd them out with a grad transfer. Whoever is sitting 11-13 on the depth chart is going to find scant minutes next year, I think.
If we're going to take a transfer, let it be someone who will sit out this season and be ready to play after Otis and Grayer graduate and will also give us multiple years (4 pretty huge players for us graduate over the next 2 seasons).
This is the main reason we’ve been connected to so many “sit one, play two” guys.
As much as we all want Otis and Grayer to play in an NCAA tournament, the staff isn’t bringing in a grad transfer to potentially disrupt the chemistry they’ve spent the past three years building.
We either have a good enough 12-man roster to dance next season or we don’t. Unless something big changes in the coming weeks, it’s highly doubtful they’re looking to add a one-and-done player.
