GIVING DAY 2023
I read that Burton has scheduled a visit with Butler next weekend. I don’t think we’ll hear anything regarding his decision until after then.

I like our options at the moment. I’m fine with not getting a big man with the last scholarship, but safe to say it then becomes a position of priority for the 2019 class.
I read Burton had a "tentative" visit scheduled with Butler. Maybe I reading too much into the word tentative, but that makes me think Burton is heavily is leaning towards Mason and might sign by the end of the weekend if I visit goes as expected.

So if Burton signs on.

PG- Otis, Greene, Hartwell
SG- Kier, Stanley, Burton
SF- Grayer, Boyd, Miller
PF- Mar, AJ
C- Calixte, Reuter

Nice balance. We haven't had this in a while. Props to Paulsen.

And the bench is pretty versatile: Burton can play the 1-3, Boyd can play the 3 and 4 (in a pinch), Greene can play the 1 or 2, AJ can play the 4 or 5.

This is important for foul trouble, injuries, general ineffectiveness of the starters or, god forbid, suspensions.

Interested in what team ever had this depth?

2010-11 team was the deepest we’ve ever had, but we’re finally getting back there.

Considering the decrepit state of our roster just three years ago, I think it’s amazing what our staff has done.

The best part is, we’d really like Burton to choose Mason but it’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t.

With our backcourt depth we can afford to take another transfer and let him sit for a year if need be. And there are literally hundreds of them to pick from across the country.

That's if Grayer doesn't transfer , which is rumored

We have depth throughout the roster (finally!) so we should just take the best available player for the 13th spot, regardless of position. A guy who can play multiple positions like Burton would be even better.

I’m guessing Burton didn’t sign after his visit this weekend and will be taking his official to Butler next weekend.

It would be a nice luxury if he decides to choose Mason.
