2018 Recruiting

I have a feeling this kid will be successful in life regardless of what he does.

Yeah, I wasn't joking when said I would sign him. I know next to nothing about college basketball recruiting but I don't see how a kid like him wouldn't be a positive for a program even if he never saw the court. 100% coachable and clearly thoughtful, smart, and passionate about winning. To be able to articulate his feeling about losing the state title in overtime while he's still in the moment is incredible for a competitor of any age.

I know DJ3 will appreciate this - did anyone else see that Fordham(? yes, FORDHAM!) got a commitment from a 4 star center. How do I make an anonymous tip to the FBI?
a 4 star center that is from Nigeria and prepped in California lol. Has no connection to New York....

verbal Commits also said that he only had 1 other Scholarship offer from Long Beach St....

I think this guy may have academic issues. 4 star 6 ft 11 18 year olds don't grow on trees

I read somewhere that he chose Fordham over a number of other quality academic schools, including Dartmouth. So I’m going to assume academics is not an issue. Eligibility is another question though, I suppose.

would love to see that. just spent a good 20 mins looking him up and he is pretty much a ghost. top 30 player in CA. team is one of those "fake" prep schools. lost to Oak Hill and all of the good ones. beat the bad schools on schedule. Gary Trent Jr of Duke went there in 2016. Long Beach St and Fordham only two offers I can find

If Hurley leave for uconn or pitt, can we get some uri recruits to come to Mason? Guess he would take them with him.

Pitt needs way more help than what 3 star recruits can give them.

I'm told Pitt has changed its admissions policy and kids who used to be able to get in, can't now. The athletic dept is now fighting with one hand behind it's back in the ACC.

But like Pitt is a safety school compared to other Pennsylvania schools. Why could it be harder to get in than Syracuse or Notre Dame.

Hurley isn’t leaving URI for Pitt. I don’t care how much money they throw at him, it won’t be enough. Their program is a dumpster fire at the moment.

UConn, on the other hand, is intriguing. They have four national championship banners hanging in their arena and they don’t have to slog their way through a power conference schedule while rebuilding.

I think Hurley could have UConn back atop the American in short order, but his leaving would decimate Rhody — especially if he takes Jermaine Harris and Brendan Adams with him. It’s conceivable Fatts Russell transfers too. It could be a bloodbath there if they lose five seniors and their coaching staff.
