Somewhat surprised we haven’t offered Jaylen Richard yet. Also, Jamarius Burton is starting to get more P5 looks.

Just guessing, but I don’t see Richard being able to play the point in the A-10. We have a chance to snag a big PG in the late period and I have to think that is a priority.

No doubt that a primary ball handler is a priority. Richard looks more like a wing, and Jordan Miller fills that need. I haven't seen much tape on Miller from this year to see what his shot is looking like.

It will be interesting to see if we will be able to land a PG like Burton or Harris given the considerable depth and experience we have in the back court. I mentioned on another thread that freshman aren't given the time to develop by fans that they once were, however it can also be said that players don't have the patience they once did.

I agree with your point and kids are generally way more impatient than they used to be. Mirrors a society that wants what it wants and demands it right this second.

This is actually the perfect time to recruit another point guard, though. Spend one year as apprentice to the best PG in our program’s history, then take the reins for your final three seasons and apply everything you learned.

While we have some talented guards on the roster who can serve as complementary ballhandlers, there’s a huge opportunity at PG for the first recruit who grabs it.

I don't really consider Kier or Greene a primary ballhandler/PG...they still seem more suited off the ball to me. A true PG can lock down that spot for three years if they come in next year.

Can’t imagine being on SportsCenter 3 times over the past two weeks is a bad thing for recruiting.

Sales pitch to Jamarius Burton: Come to Mason and be the next Big Shot Boyd!

nice shout out by ESPN's director of recruiting today:

As a frosh Ian Boyd led the Patriots in bench minutes (19.0 mpg) & bench scoring (5.9 ppg)! Played BB & FB at Apex HS in NC. A state champion & MVP of the state championship as a sophomore. Great evaluation and fit by George Mason
