If they hold a scholarship strategically, I'm done with this staff. You have 4 seniors next year, so 4 scholarships minimum for class of 21. You need 5? Why?Why hold one? I don’t understand what we gain from that? Just seems like a cop out to me, “we were planning on not using it all along”

After years of having very little depth and having 1-2 injuries derail a season you’d think the staff would learn we need every single scholarship filled. Leaving one open will be a real kick in the nads. This is a must fill. Grab a role player grad transfer if we have to, it’s Mars scholarship so any production at all will be an increase from what it would have been.If they try to find a grad transfer and can’t land one they like, that’s one thing.
But leaving a scholarship open on purpose instead of trying to bring in somebody who can make our roster deeper and better makes zero sense when you have a veteran team.
Simpk is right. If they allow transfers to skip sitting out one year, it's gonna become the wild west. They are ruining college bball. Smh.

Can’t blame him. Who would want to play for a proven loser coach.
I wish Justin well in whatever he decides. I’m hopeful that he decides to come home to Mason but I’m not holding my breath. I think he’d be fine in a power 5 but his shot would have to get quicker.
for those who want to be in the speculation party, steve Goff tweeted that mason might be his best bet for postseason and showing his skills. But I guess we will wait and see.
I wish him well.

preach. You think in such a critical year they would do everything to have everything go right.
either get a grad transfer
Get a regular transfer
Get a late signing project frosh who can maybe redshirt
holding it at this point just seems dumb. This isn’t year 2, it’s year 6 and there’s about to be a new president.
We have to have had more kids leave the program than any other A10 school, even in this age of everyone transfers. Otis is still the only Paulsen recruit to use up all of his eligibility under Paulsen. This tells me that players aren’t buying into DP’s system.

By the numbers we have more transfers than both of those teams over the Paulsen era.Not even close. Rhode Island and UMass have turned over almost half of their roster this year alone.
Losing Grayer in Kier as grad transfers in back to back years obviously hurts, but we are by no means the only one dealing with this issue.
