The staff already said they’re not holding the last spot open indefinitely. There are 700-plus names in the transfer portal and if Kier doesn’t want to be here, they’ll go find someone who does.

I’m just glad the NCAA didn’t dick us and drag this out for months. We need clarity on the situation one way or the other.
I’m not holding my breath on that, but it would be the best case scenario at this point. Are we currently tied to any transfers?

Not publicly that I know of, which is not surprising since Mar just announced he was leaving. We didn’t have a spot to offer ... now we do.

We had enough time to offer that Otis kid, wing player. Regardless, whatever happens with this last scholarship will probably have some very big implications for the team next season.

There are offers and then there are offers, just saying. We have no idea whether they would’ve taken a commitment from Frazier or put it out there as a contingency.

After those injuries it is highly likely he will never return to peak form (I.e one million examples). Kid wouldn’t drive this year because of injuries and that’s the best part of his game. I don’t think he’s starting at a good P5. Definitely good enough to contribute to a good P5. But the best Kier is more than likely not coming back ever

He broke his foot in September, didn't get surgery, and came back in November. With an entire offseason + surgery I'd bet he's absolutely fine next year.

Kier is absolutely good enough to start on a good P5. Dude takes a break (no pun intended) for one year and everyone forgets what a monster he can be. Flaws in his game, of course, but not every P5 guard is a future NBA prospect.

I know he's a good player. Great size, pretty quick, elite slasher, good mid range game. But a lot of programs in the P5 need a guard that can shoot, and I still have doubts that he can get a contested 3 off.

Kier will only find 38 minutes a game to showcase his skills at one place and that's Mason.

He’s not playing 38 minutes a game here either LOL

I wish Justin well in whatever he decides. I’m hopeful that he decides to come home to Mason but I’m not holding my breath. I think he’d be fine in a power 5 but his shot would have to get quicker.

for those who want to be in the speculation party, steve Goff tweeted that mason might be his best bet for postseason and showing his skills. But I guess we will wait and see.

I wish him well.

Personally I agree with you. If he’s still got it, the only place where he’s gonna get a long enough leash and enough minutes to show people that would be here. But I think he’s gone. He could be a 6th man at a bottom half P5 team.

Congratulations to JK on his medical redshirt. It's nice to see that he will get another year to play and showcase his talents.

While JMU is close to home, it's trading down.

If he has the opportunity to get significant minutes at a top 30 -35 P5 school (one that is probably going to the NCAA tournament), he should strongly consider that option. If not, his best opportunity to showcase his talents is likely back at Mason

Congrats to kier to not have to play another year in a broken system. Happy for him, its definitely a bad look for Paulsen. Wouldn't be surprised If boyd and aj tested the waters a bit.

If he's getting it anywhere it's here. If he's playing at an elite level he could be close to it. Just using that to prove my point.

I got what you’re saying and agree, just saying we have way too many guards for anyone to play 38 (barring a string of catastrophic injuries of course).
