Sad to see that just about everybody in the PC, students, fans, players, coaches etc last night seemed non chalant and apathetic and acted as if they all would rather be in a Physics 490 course than watching another bball debacle.

The life has been depleted and leeched out of the program......

A bit annoying and irritating that is the view that other A10 fans have of us. Not that being winless would provide anything else, but to know that our coach problems have drug us down to where everybody thinks we were a bad match, cant compete, shouldnt be there etc...

I don't think it's that. It's not like they're underestimating us. They know we're a talented team, they're just as nonplussed as we are about how bad Hewitt is. Like they didn't think he was this bad.

I went to the boards and read this, "Mason is certainly not vcu and Richmond. One Final Four and some competitive games with wins does not make you a program with history."

I don't think it's that. It's not like they're underestimating us. They know we're a talented team, they're just as nonplussed as we are about how bad Hewitt is. Like they didn't think he was this bad.

I don't think anyone did. And it's amazing how many of these games have just been thrown away in the last three years.

How strange that a coach known for late-game breakdowns and puzzling losses seems to have continued his trend at his new place of employment. I'm sure once he gets "his players" in, though, it'll all change.

The sad thing is only 2,500 fans showed up to watch Towson against JMU this week in that brand new arena. I watched that whole game, and it was depressing how empty it was (not unlike our game against Dayton). The student reporter claimed attendance is on the rise, but it's still pretty piss poor they can't get more support for their basketball program in a year when they are doing well.

When you've been down for as long as they've been, it takes time to get all but your die-hard fans back into the fold.

I have a decision to make. Go Skiing next weekend or go to Homecoming. For the first time in 18 years, I'm leaning strongly towards skiing vs. Homecoming. That's how bad of a taste I have in my mouth towards TOC and his piss poor choice in Paul Blewitt.

Towson lost to UNCW by 13!! last night. UNCW was on a 14 game losing streak. I think Towson is still the current George Mason.

I'm mkaufman1 and I'm Hewitt sober as of Saturday as well...hes not the long term solution for our program...The glimmer of hope is that the new guys next yr come in and steal some wins, but I don't see that being likely.

I never thought Hewitt should have been hired in the first place but we also have to face the reality that the glory days of Coach L are also done and behind us. We can't live with the expectations of what was because until we get some young and hungry coach in here, we are facing a period of Nestor/Westhead futility
