Please explain how GW. Is the only A10 team in the crown tournament. This event is loaded with power 5 schools, ie Georgetown, Nebraska Arizona State, USC, Cincincinnati,Villanova, etc.
What the hell is going on?

So Mason and others didn’t know that everyone would boycott the NIT? Again the power schools have ruined college basketball. There was nothing wrong with the system.

The A10 needs to get stronger and fire back or what’s the point in being in this basketball only league?

The irony here is the A10 schools are the very ones that pissed off the major schools, vcu, Mason, Loyola and Davidson all went on crazy runs and join the A10 and in turn the power schools lock them out.

In what world is GW, a team Mason beat 3 times and just beat easily going to the better tournament? Also Tulane???? Haha. It's got to be Money? Is the Crown a pay to play tournament? I know GW likely has way more money than Mason, that's the only explanation here.

If the power conferences hadn't ruined NIT selection and it was still all of the regular season champions that didn't win their tournament and then the rest were at large, that would still be the best #2 tourney like it used to be

It’s not a pay to play. They payout to the schools a little more than the NIT.

1) Does the tournament start after the portal opens?
2) How many fans would attend a tournament in Las Vegas, vs attending games at EBA?
3) How are the post-season clauses written into CTS's contract?

Called the athletic ticket office a few minutes ago for tickets - they don't have any to sell. Was told to try calling back later this afternoon.

Mason opens as 7.5 favs. I was surprised to see the o/u at 145.5 for the game. Looking at the SoCo, ETSU looks to be the best defensive team. Samford scored 60 and 59 against them. I think if we are committed to playing defense like we were all season long we should be fine. If we go out not caring and make this a summer league game, we could give them an opportunity to make it a game.

I'm guessing Masoned up.
Also, did Mason pull a Mason by accepting the NIT instead of waiting for the Vegas?

Nothing to worry about. They have not announced availability yet. Cut them some slack, they are dealing a lot of stuff in a short period of time with two post season teams, extending coaches, adjusting to House settlement/NIL changes. They should be available shortly. They are going to be GA and I'd be very surprised if we sell out, so there should be plenty of tickets for anybody who is interested.

I'm not worried, I'm getting in to EBA either way, even if I have to tunnel in Bugs Bunny style.

It's just laughable.

FYI - I randomly picked 5 other teams hosting games this week and all of them had their tickets on sale and ready to fly.

I went to the physical athletic ticket office in the fieldhouse at 2pm and was told they'd be on sale closer to 3pm.

Idk why they said they'd be on sale today without publishing what time.

My memory from our previous NIT hosting 20+ yrs ago was that attendance was quite modest...maybe 4,000 or so but enthusiastic.

This will be the most anticipated game since Coppin State. Of course we will sell out.
