I don't get it. If Dayton is a #1 seed, why are they playing at FAU? Seeds 2-4 in our corner of the bracket are all listed as playing at home.

Looks like the powers to be are trying to destroy the NIT. A new tournament is the College Basketball Crown. Looks like most power five schools have refused to play in the NIT and will join the new tournament. 16 teams, most major colleges playing in Las Vegas, including Big East, Big Ten and Big twelve will have at least six of the teams. Iowa and Ohio State have already turned down the NIT. This explains why so many A10 teams are in it. Does look like Ga, Tech, SMU, Stanford,, Oklahoma State are in the NIT> The basketball world is changing.

That's how I would read it. Unless EBA isn't available on the dates when the second round is to be played.

#2 George Mason to Host #7 Samford Wednesday in NIT - George Mason University Athletics

The George Mason University men's basketball team (26-8) will host Samford (22-10) on Wednesday night in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament.

"FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University men's basketball team (26-8) will host Samford (22-10) on Wednesday night in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament.

It's the Patriots' first NIT bid since 2009 and first time hosting a home game since 2004.

The 7 p.m. game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Tickets will be general admission and will go on sale Monday.

George Mason enters the NIT having won 24 of the team's last 29 games. The Patriots have set a new program record for A-10 conference wins (15) and the team's 26 overall victories are the second-most in team history.

The Patriots would tie the school record for wins with a victory against Samford.

The Bulldogs went 12-6 in the Southern Conference and tallied 22 victories on the year."

I was saying the same thing to my buddies...playing in a tournament that has six A-10 teams in it feels like going to the dance with your cousin. At least Caputo will have to watch the games on TV. That being said, I'll be at the games.

Goal remains the same beat vcu or pray they lose before we play them and go dancing or no Tournament. I'm not sure how long the NCAA tournament even lasts given the way its going. Fully expect the power 5 to be gone in next 5-10 years. So lets dance one more time with Tony before it's gone. Figure out how to win the A10 tournament and that's that.

Hopefully he gets everyone minutes who earned them. One last time to see the boys play, I get it.

Expect a whole new team next year, given rumors and everything going around the starting 5 is likely going to be 5 guys not currently even on the roster.
