this is why the school won't increase any revenue because of the new blah logo.

if I were to change the logo, the primary reason would be for revenue. they failed in all regards other than to add their new tagline to be altogether different. they missed. and failed. and should be held to that standard of failure.

I imagine the change costing much more money than it generates.

Also I disagree with the notion that no one connects with the star logo. It was the logo of the final four run and many of us did not really know anything about Mason prior to that exposure in 2006.

The star hate is very overrated. We were a little underwhelmed by it decades ago but nothing like the underwhelming feeling we feel now.

Not sure what symbol Mason fans are supposed to identify with in a logo anyway...a slice of Ratt Pizza?

I have the Mason star logo on two UA polo shirts, green and black. Look good, and people knew what school I was repping when I wore them (one to work on Thursday).

What a waste of money.

Wonder what they’re going to do with the locker rooms. All the built in chairs have the old logo embroidered in them. The ceiling has a giant light fixture of the old logo. Everything in there is only a few years old. It would be a waste to change it all out.

Have a feeling changing out those logos will be on the agenda and are probably not a big deal.

Court looks okay-- it is a positive that the new logo is cleaner than the old one, albeit underwhelming, pointless, and stupid.
