I anticipate he won't look overmatched against A-10 players. My friend that saw him play went to St. Bonaventure and follows the Bonnies and A-10 pretty closely. He was impressed and thinks he'll help right away.

I was at the game, it was a great game. Cary is undefeated. Boyd hit a lay-up with 12 seconds left in OT to give Apex the lead, then Cary's best player, Corey Gensler, hit a jumper with 2 seconds left for the win.

Ian passed Jerry Stackhouse -- yes, that Jerry Stackhouse -- and 3 other people on North Carolina's all-time scoring list with 27 points in Apex's semifinal victory Wednesday.

Apex plays Cary for conference tournament title Friday night.

I took a peek at the ESPN recruiting info, and noticed that they bumped Ian up a little bit. He's now 3 stars with a 72 grade. I know he was a 2 star guy before.

Ian Boyd and Apex went on the road tonight and upset 71st HS out of Fayetteville in the 2nd round of the state tournament. They will have to play a very good Millbrook team on Saturday.

Looking at Apex's games, it doesnt look like they are in a very tough league. Even their starting lineup besides Boyd looks rather weak, short and....well....pale. Not trying to say Boyd wont be good at the next level...
