Def not but we didn't eat $50K to be in it. Attendance was 1,400 so that's roughly $28K right there. Was tonight worth it?

Must've been a large donation from one of the eight people in attendance. Watched that super inspirational commercial they ran asking for donations. Paulsen can act like Relvao can shoot. No, no, no I heard it was funded. Just now in fact.
You factoring students into this?Def not but we didn't eat $50K to be in it. Attendance was 1,400 so that's roughly $28K right there.

There were about 40 students and no. To conclude this tournament was a mistake but Paulsen knows now to never play on one again. Atleast this mistake was ~$25K and not the millions we lost to Hewitt. You factoring students into this?
I think there are more people in there on student ID's than you think. I had season tickets but tonight decided that I'd just use my free entry as a grad student. Sat nowhere near the student section. But I cede the point, the revenue sharing will probably make it a wash. There were about 40 students and no. What is Phase II for the project? I thought phase I are lockers and caged gym and phase II is the practice facility.

Would phase I give the players a 24/7 gym to use? Have to believe every aspect of their game will increase with that access. It's a little crazy when you think about it. Basketball is our anchor sport but we can't give them a 24/7 gym to use.I think there are more people in there on student ID's than you think. Phase II is adding things like the weight room, film room, etc. The cage gym is the courts that will be in the practice facility. So Phase I is really just a small part of the entire thing that can be finished independently before they have funding for the rest.
I would assume so. My guess is they'll outfit a new door or something with keycard access. I'm a bit surprised they haven't found a way to let them into the RAC at night. I used to work there and it's pristine when it closes up. Just let the team swipe in. If anything is f**ked up in the morning you know who did it.Would phase I give the players a 24/7 gym to use? To the guy in the green room who took 7 cookies (literally), try showing some class. I'd expect that from a vcu fan but really?

My only hope is that if you place them with a 4 and they don't have the responsibility of being the only big, their production will go up.So our two returning 5's scored a combined 2 points and grabbed 2 rebounds in 25 minutes of action against Loyola!?!? Holy hell does Dave have a job to do with these kids to make them productive. Even a raw A-10 backup talent should be able to put up some numbers on Loyola.
They aren't properly boxing out. They're getting in front of their man, but they're giving up too much ground and aren't pushing back when waiting for the ball to come down. Home many times have we seen them (particuarly Troy) reaching back over his head to come up with a rebound and not come up with it? They're way too close to the rim. Marquise gets his rebounds because he has the benefit of a running start and knowing where the ball will land. The bigs don't have that and need to create more of an empty zone under the hoop that they can collapse into. Once the ball kicks off the rim over your head you're f**ked. So our two returning 5's scored a combined 2 points and grabbed 2 rebounds in 25 minutes of action against Loyola!?!? "I give credit to Loyola. They played hard, played well and wanted this game," head coach Dave Paulsen said. "Guys hit some big shots for them when we started to crawl back into the contest. I'm disappointed in our effort and our intensity. This is a teachable moment and a learning experience. I want to thank our seniors. In the big picture, our team made a lot of progress this year."
Glad I was out of town for this one. As much as people are justifiably concerned about our lack of an experienced big man next season, I'm just as worried about our lack of a shooting guard. Kier showed me nothing consistently to convince me he's the guy, and I'm not sure Newman is consistent enough on either end of the court to win that spot. Boyd will be a good candidate to replace Moore's penetration, but again he's not a great shooter yet.
Granted, guys will improve from their first to second year, but is anybody here really confident that we have a great 2-guard on this roster or coming in?
