GIVING DAY 2023
Pretty simple..... Richmond has no other sporting events or teams to get behind during the winter in the city. The school recognized this and marketed and built around this. They target the suburbs with their marketing.... getting families and building a community/family type atmosphere is their mission and it worked. That vcu community is tight and they built this over 10 years with the Final Four fueling their movement.

They built a brand and we did not. Now we are light years behind thanks to losing years and the school not doing shit to build upon and after in making Mason a Basketball school.

I always see this argument. Yes DC has professional sports but they are generally Medicore. And for a period of time GEorgetown had a big following

Yeah, we were a Jon Arledge 3-point rim out from cutting that to 3. It was the one time I think I can remember Hewitt actually making adjustments mid-game that worked.

I could have told him in the middle of December to play AC at point guard. He just figured it out then?

I was speaking more of benching Ryan Pearson, who was getting killed trying to guard Anthony Burgess. That took some guts.

Bradford Burgess did dominate him. Pearson looked like a deer caught in headlights the whole game. Unfortunate, because he was the man all season.

Bradford...thanks.

I agree, he was amazing all season, but he was a low post player trying to guard a wing. It just didn't work. I was impressed that Arledge did so well guarding the perimeter in the second half, but he was 6'9 and could use his length a lot more than 6'6 Ryan.

So much wasted talent under Hewitt...

Where do we even start? What Hewitt recruit actually grew under his watch? Marquise and Jalen grew under DP.

Copes? No. Gray? Not really. Holloway? Nope. Anali? Haha!
