Two years ago at Barclay's, they didn't open the upper deck until the finals.I'd assume the upper bowl will be curtained off. It was last year in Pittsburgh in a much smaller arena.

Anyone know how to get a cheap ticket for the PIG? Going to be in DC Wednesday evening and wanted to drop in for a little bit of the games.
Agree a 24,000 seat arena is way too much, but I think the tourney is meant to be an experience that fans could not only come and see their team but also check out the sites and sounds of a major east coast hub and the Barclays and Captiol One arena fit that bill.
They've been doing it for years so I have to assume the A10 gets their money's worth.
Wow, I got mine for $6 for Thursday, against sales are going well, as our AD was accused of lying about
Masonfanatic and I are selling our tixx to the PIG games since neither of us can make it. If you are interested hit up masonfanatic.
Related to CAA tourney, some observations:
They changed the schedule to end on Tuesday. Didn’t it used to end on Monday when we were in the CAA? Not sure I would like that, but I guess they are doing it for TV.
Second, I noticed they held it in Charleston. That is at least the second different place they have had it since Richmond. We were always told they couldn’t find another viable place to hold it when we voiced concerns about it always being in vcu’s backyard. I guess that has been blown out of the water.
I like the timing of the A10 tournament much better. Just another reason to affirm the move to the A10 was a good thing.
William and Mary is a situation where Tony Shaver is the best you're going to get. The university does NOT put much money into the basketball team or give Shaver much support or infrastructure to be doing what he's doing (nor is he paid very well). If they fire him, I suspect that program tanks again.
You know this is a joke, right? Not sure if this is genius or sad, but William & Mary had their first ever sellout a few weeks ago... because they offered students extra credit for showing up.

Goff's preview of the A10 tournament. (who knows, our games might even get covered!):
