I guess my feeling is that barely beating them in OT twice does not mean we are "clearly superior" than them

True but that doesn’t mean we are any more or less likely to beat them a third time than we were in the first two games.

The whole “third game” thing has been talked about so often that people think there’s something to it, but there isn’t.

I'm traveling Wednesday through Friday, so my only shot at seeing us play is over the weekend.

I would rather play UMASS, based on depth and that La Salle has an experienced big that seemed to give us issues last time we played. I wish Mason would have just taken care of business at home vs Richmond but they still exceeded expectations. Next year with the Reuter in the paint and having calixte as the big off the bench should allow some defense scheme changes for Paulsen.

I am so excited for next season. The freshman are really coming along. (eating crow and I love it). If Reuter starts over Calixte he has to be something really special.

Calixte poise is what stands out most to me. He does not jump off the charts, but he doesn’t seem to make the "freshman" mistake. He does what he is supposed to do. He catches the ball down low, has post moves, does not fumble the ball, and does not travel. He has provided stability in the post that we needed.

If you want to nitpick his game, he needs to improve his free throws, and stay out of foul trouble. But overall he has been an excellent addition to the team.

Weekly recap is up. I dove into the Richmond game, the "luck" argument, who Mason wants to play next, and more:

Mason plays the winner of the UMass and La Salle play-in game on Thursday at 2:30pm. That play-in-game takes place at 6pm the night before, so whoever wins will have about 20 hours of rest between games. No matter who you’re rooting for, root for overtime!

The hard thing about this team (and having a young team in general) is if we can’t force the game into a rock fight through defense, we need consistent contributions from our starting 5 plus at least our 6th man, and we haven’t gotten that all season. Outside of Otis, Its almost random who is going to be hot or cold on any given night.

Anyone have recommendations on buying single session tickets? I'm not seeing the greatest seats (not terrible but in the corners of the lower bowl) on Ticketmaster and Stubhub. Would it be better to try to get tickets day of at the box office/scalpers or just get the crappier tickets and try to move down?

The majority of the seats are general admission. Some seats (first two rows) in select sections are reserved but you shouldn't have any trouble.
