Some of you people on here are very sad. Excited to play in some garbage tournament. No wonder our program is in the crapper. People are celebrating a 19 win season. Are you kidding me? It is Big dance or bust. Nothing else is acceptable. This season is a disappointment. Show me an A10 championship or an invitation to the big dance, and only then will we be going in the right direction.

Gimme a break. Any reasonable Mason fan is celebrating the fact that the program is going in the right direction post-Hewitt. Teams like Syracuse will play in the NIT - so now GMU is somehow above anything other than the big dance?

It's sad how our fan base just gave up once Jimmy L left. I mean why have standards?

These results would not be acceptable if Larrañaga was coaching here. You have got to be kidding me?! Our goal should be the big dance and advancing every year. The last time Larranaga had a team this young was in the 2009-2010 season when Luke Hancock was a freshman. That team went 17-15 and lost a huge lead at home in the CIT against Fairfield. And that was in a much weaker CAA when you had pretty much guaranteed wins against the bottom 4 teams every year.

If you also want, we can talk about the post-Final Four year when we barely got over .500 and had some pretty embarrassing losses against teams like W&M at home that season.

Yeah! Because Larranaga had more than 19 wins in his second season right? . . . We also should be glad he left, since he only made the tournament 5 times in his 14 seasons here. And he only advanced in the tournament twice! That's a lot more failure than success. How did we ever let him get away with that?!

For those that aren't trolls here- I don't think anyone is going to be happy if this is the pinnacle of the Dave Paulsen era or even the average year, but we are happy to have a program that is improving. Rome wasn't built in a day, and I'd be excited to see even a lesser tournament game or two.

The program is heading in the right direction for sure no doubt about that. I completely disagree with Mason lawyer when he says the season was a failure. 20 wins in a coach's second season is pretty damn good. Especially since the program was left in shamblesz

But I wish more people had similar expectations as Mason Lawyer. Higher expectations result in the administration pumping more money into the program.

If don't have expectations to dance, we should have never left the CAA.

Where is the money coming from to pump into the program? Expectations mean jack squat (other than put needless pressure on the coach to try to win now or face a firing campaign from the fans). Support, however, does mean a lot.

There is a clear diff bt being a realistic fan and a shitty one and Mason Lawyer is def a shitty one.
