One advantage of using search firm = no geographical limit on candidates because the company has data on everybody.

Don't know if Turner reached out to Edwards or Parker brought the two together. Either way, I hope we hire him.

Not that hard - the team did qualify for the tourney. Also, if you're scanning the mid-major conferences and seeing whose consistently finished amongst the top the past few seasons, or tracking conf. winning records it should pop-up. Then the search committee takes it from there - I imagine it's very middle-school in the cafeteriaesqe with your friend acting as the go-between, "I know somebody who likes you, who do you like?"

Your point? I'm an optimist by nature. I was more patient then Hewitt deserved and gave up on him after the Sooners blew us out. Was I wrong? Sure. Will I enthusiastically greet the new HC? You bet your a**. Do I think a new HC can get us to the NIT? Yes. A change in approach will elevate hidden talent.

I was really hoping Raider would be the one naysayer (outside of PoorManVCUFan), who wouldn't even give the guy a game to show us something...Just start shredding him for his efforts during this spring's recruiting period.

Lack of delusion does not equal negativity little boy. I'm simply eagerly awaiting the decision and will then make my evaluation rather than penciling us in for how many upsets we'll have in the tourney without even having a coach.

But hey, you stick with your method. It sure didn't make you look silly the first time.

I am only positive at this point because any change from Hewitt is an upgrade. I will be modestly optimistic as I see results. But any competent hire would be a reason to hope.
