He already proved that he can recruit better than Hewitt. Atleast ratings wise. All 3 star guys.

I was told if we can't come to terms with Turner, we'll move on with our talks with Moton.

I'm hoping Turner is asking for about 4.5 million a year.

I'm more than fine with either one -- they're both impressive young coaches -- but Edwards needs to end the weekend with one of them signing on the dotted line.

Worst possible scenario is can't make a deal with Turner, then Moton and his family decide they want to stay in Durham.

As someone who moved from Fairfax to RTP, I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to stay in Durham.

However, NCCU is his ceiling here. If he wants to move up in the coaching ranks, he'll have to pack the bags.

I like this if true:

He graduated magna cum laude in 1992 with a B.A. in English and economics, and earned numerous academic honors including election into Phi Beta Kappa.

Turner would be a home run hire. Turned a clusterf*ck into a Top 100 team and first ever NCAA bid and recruited great. I figured he was more likely to be in play at BCS schools. Has interview for PAC 12 jobs previously I believe. Would be shocked if he honestly was considering Mason for real but being a VA native perhaps its possible.

Interviewing for Pac-12 jobs is fine, but he hasn't landed one yet.

If our sources are correct, he's being offered an A-10 job with plenty of upside and an opportunity to possibly double his salary in a location where his wife can continue her medical career with no difficulty whatsoever.

It's not that difficult to imagine him at least giving it some serious thought.

Also, if reports are accurate and Turner was on campus today, he obviously has serious interest in the job.

No coach is flying from Irvine, Calif., to Fairfax, Va. for a courtesy visit.
