Both Lasalle bigs in foul trouble... they are thinner than we are in the front court.. have a 6 foot 5 guard guarding Mitchell last 7 mins of half... Lasalle and UMASS putting pressure with turn over inducing presses that I hope Paulsen is watching... Freshman guard Brickus for Lasalle is real good. Mitchell and co doing welll also

GIVING DAY 2023
coulda easily had 40 if he made some free throws.... Oduro guarding him is already giving me the shakes

There’s not a big man in this league who can stop him 1 on 1 ... a few who can bother him ... but most coaches should be shaking right along with you.

How come we didn't recruit him? I'd say this about any big who has a good game against an A-10 opponent) -- he had 9 and 9 against La Salle and 12 and 8 against Pitt. 70% FT shooter, too. He was a freshman at Navy in 16-17, which is Troy Temara's freshman year...if we're going to take a flyer on a forward, why not a local kid?

"PHILADELPHIAJames Butler scored 21 points and added 16 rebounds as Drexel held off Saint Joseph's, 81-77, on Thursday evening at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. The Dragons improved to 4-2 on the season, while Saint Joseph's dropped to 0-3."

"Butler had his first double-double of the season and the 27th of his career. His 16 rebounds tied a career-high and the graduate student was 7-for-7 from the line. Wynter had another solid night, finishing with 14 points and seven assists. T.J. Bickerstaff added 13 points. The Dragons shot 46 percent from the floor and were 8-for-17 from long range. The defense held Saint Joseph's to just 17 percent (4-24) from behind the stripe.

Daly had a huge game for Saint Joseph's. The local product from Havertown scored a team-high 30 points. He was 9-for-18 from the floor and made 10 of his 12 free-throw attempts. Funk finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Rahmir Moore chipped in with 12 points."

We don’t tend to snag a ton of local kids under Paulsen for whatever reason. Gotten a little better recently but then we weren’t recruiting the DMV at all.

Saint Louis out rebounded NC State 52-26 in tonight's 11-point win.

Not sure I've ever seen an Atlantic 10 team do that to an ACC team in 15 years on this beat.

Saint Louis is starting this season in a similar fashion to what Dayton did a year ago. Billikens now own wins over NC State and LSU. Very similar in mold to Dan Hurley's teams at URI.
