only in 1950 would someone consider Marko and Jalen centers in college basketball.... I must be misunderstanding your post

he has ONE big man he likes to play. how is that at all balanced? Of course Paulsen's most balanced roster is the one he currently sports in year 5 of a very average tenure at Mason. What else were you expecting him to say? I just call BS on most of that podcast.. doesn't ring right to me and apparently a couple of others. If Greg gets 2 early fouls and AJ stays out of control and in Paulsen's doghouse is Jordan Miller playing center for us against a 6 foot 10 guy with post moves? I sure hope not

Marko liked staying about as far away from the paint as virtually possible whenever he had the chance

Would guess Mar would play there if Oduro can’t. Mar started at the 5 his freshman season until moving over for Calixte. So, yeah, it’s suboptimal but he did alright there.

He liked to play away from the paint, but he wasn’t very good from there. Maybe you set him up in the high post because he was good at making that pass. He was also too slow to guard anyone out on the perimeter on the other end, so he has to be guarding the paint, and considering how many teams play 4-out even 5-out, you see where this is headed, right?

Either way you don’t start those 5 together on any team and call it a good starting 5.

you said that Jalen Jenkins, Marko and Shevon are all centers... any other person would say Jalen and Marko were more 3's and 4's than a center....

Just because they are tall does not make them a center.. that is your 1950s thinking

I can see where you are coming from. But Otis and Marko could score from the outside.

Plus, outside shooting will be an issue this year as well.

Mar can’t play the 3 but Jalen and Marko can? Jalen was at his best in the low post, Marko reminds me of a more modern center who steps out rather than a modern 4.

I think we are forgetting that Marko could actually dribble the basketball (something Mar cannot do)... They are both 4s.... still not even close to your point of having 3 centers... that is just not true but you won't say you were wrong.

So 2 centers and a power forward. Fair? Do you start those three guys together is the real question. Especially when you also have Jaire Grayer on the roster too.

I think we are also projecting each player’s best season (which would for Marquise and Jalen be the year after in 2016-2017, Otis the year after that in 2017-2018). That team had some pretty big issues (mostly to do with balance, depth, and experience).

Marko shot 30% from the 3 and 47% overall in 14-15. You tell me where you'd like him to shoot.

I don't disagree, shooting has def been an issue with DP teams so far. They moved the 3 back like 2 ft for this upcoming season also.....
