I'm back . Mason can beat the Duqes, Richmond and St. Louis. Problem is Mason plays down to its competition and will probably drop one or two games against La Salle, St. Joes, Umass, GW or Fordham. The 6-9 range is accurate, i have no expectations for this year.

Their only "bad" loss in conference last year was to Richmond. I think the difference in ranking from last year is that Mason beat St. Bonaventure, Dayton, and URI, and everyone is expecting those teams to be way better than us (although we get all three of those teams at home next season -- two without return games -- so hopefully this team has figured out how to win at home).

Have to add Davidson and vcu to the teams expected to be light years better than we are. If you lose all of those games, that's 7 losses guaranteed right there, and you can't afford to drop games against anyone else.

So again, defending the home court is of paramount importance next season.

Our home court disadvantage has been my biggest disappointment with the Paulsen era.
