Agreed. We're not linked at this point to anyone that I see contributing as a freshman big next year. We don't need one ready to contribute until Reuter and/or Relvao leave the program.

I'm as bullish on Relvao as anyone but it's entirely possible he never amounts to anything. Showed some glimpses of being not as terrible as the numbers would indicate, but we're still assuming a lot of development from him. If Calixte is ready Relvao might not get anything but token minutes this year. Something like Calixte anchoring a big lineup, and us playing most minutes with a small AJ/Mar frontcourt, is certainly on the table.

I'm a Relvao apologist but I don't think it's smart to make recruiting decisions based on what we're hoping he turns out to be.

We have Reuter next year, too, though, who will be a junior. So unless all three of our current bigs turn out to be terrible, anyone coming in, in 2018 will be behind at least two of them.

Yeah, I'm kind of counting on Reuter to be the starter and take most of the minutes. Then hopefully either Calixte or Relvao can serve as a solid backup. With the guards/wings we have, I don't think we need more than those 3 bigs. And again, there has not been a lot of noise about us trying to recruit any bigs that are still available.

I'd rather wait and see what we have with Calixte this year and if we feel like we need another big at the end of the year, then we see who is available at that time.

Wood has several attractive offers to consider. Not surprised he wants to take some time to think it over before committing.

Maybe if more kids did that, we wouldn't have 850 Division I transfers every year.

And I thought Dave didn't like to use the full-court press.

Makes me wonder if the staff wants to get an idea where they stand with Adams because his decision could impact a pending commitment from Wood.

Adams would be an absolutely enormous get and a signal to the college basketball world that the Mason program really is on the way back to relevance.

I believe Georgia Tech and Georgia are still very involved. UMass might be as well.

Looking through Verbal Commits and if Greene ends up at the 2 like a lot think he will, we're the only team that can offer Adams a good amount of minutes from the off.
