Serious question, is this guy a guard that's going to play a spot on the court that Adams would? Seeing him listed as 6-6/6-7 and averaging over 11 rebounds.
They are still going after Adam as a PG, they just got a SG that was on his official visit this past weekend.

Yea when I looked at other sites the guy is a 2 and had no effect. Wish it did but it doesn't. And they have a bit of scholarships to use.

But URI also has Dowtin as a sophomore and Russell as a freshman at PG. Dowtin had a terrific first year and Russell was a 4-star. I'd be surprised if a kid with options like Adams opted for a school that is deep and young at his primary position.

If Adams came here, he'd be behind Otis for one season and could be in line to be the starting PG after that, depending on whether Greene plays the 1 or 2.

Greene is primarily a scorer but likely will back up Otis because we don't have another PG on the roster.

Catawbitabawa is a fine school, and I know some fine people that went there, but it always seemed to me like a school by its name where either injuns or retards would end up.
I think Jordan make the right choice.

Georgia Tech is in the final 3 for 2018 PG Xavier Johnson from O'Connell. Would be great if he chose them because they already have a freshman PG in Jose Alvarado from NYC.

Georgia has six guards on its 2017-18 roster and only one is a senior. Not sure what their recruiting looks like for the 2018 class.

UMass has a transfer PG from Memphis, Keon Clergeot, sitting out this season with two more years of eligibility. Also Luwane Pipkins in the sophomore class and they are going hard after Tre Wood in '18.

As mentioned before, Rhody has two young PGs: Dowtin as a sophomore and Fatts Russell as a freshman.

If Adams is looking for a great opportunity to be a 3-year starter at PG, while playing close enough to home for his family to watch him, Mason is in a strong position.

He would be our first top-150 commitment under Paulsen.

Justin Kier may get more minutes than you think at PG this coming season -- but that's because he's versatile and we have a need. Kier wouldn't be blocking Adams or Wood once they get here.

Stop getting our hopes up, Jim. I remember being burned too often by these top 150 recruits flirting with Mason and then choosing another school.

The OCM'S higher rated recruits, Will Thomas, Folarin Campbell, were not older like, Lewis, Butler Skinn. But were just as important to our FF run. Perhaps an extra star on the recruiting rankings does translate into something if you have the right coach.

I remember the days when someone here predicted Troy Temara would become first team all A10. he's not even in the league any longer.

Thanks for the obvious shot at me, but I'm certainly not predicting Adams is going to pick Mason. Just wanted to lay out what the competition looked like. He had a great visit and we at least have a shot.

I also don't recall predicting Troy would become an all-A10 player. I did believe he had that potential and still think he could've contributed here eventually, but this isn't science. Sometimes guys just don't develop for whatever reason.

All this talk about Adams but I'd like to remind everyone Tre Wood is coming for an official this weekend. Based off this vid of him as a freshman at St John's, he fits the mode Paulsen is bringing in. He's considered one if the fastest pure pgs in the DMV. Based off this tweet I think vcu is out of picture now since they just picked up a 18' pg.

not sure why we need another PG. we already have Otis, Kier, and Green on the roster next year. We need bigs.
If we are talking about pure pgs who have been playing the position throughout their life we only have 1. Kier and Greene I believe moved over from the 2. The last scholarship will be a big though.
