My understanding is that there's only one real difference between an official visit and an unofficial visit. An official visit is paid for by the school, while an unofficial is paid for by the prospect. Since Adams is local, he might not have wanted to use an official visit to travel a short distance.
Do you know something?? Tre Wood would be fine if no Adams

Apparently we are in his top 5. I would love to land him but we are up against tough competition, at least he didn't sign this past weekend with URI. I'm my mind I wouldn't think he'd end up committing to Wyoming this following weekend(given his list of other schools and distance from him). He did take an unofficial in August here so I'm sure he knows if he likes it here or not.
This upcoming weekend may be the weekend we find out which direction we are going in with Wood on an official and Adam out visiting other schools. The main concern would be missing out in both.

I think local kids have taken officials though in the past, so I'm not sure that has anything to do with it. That said we'll figure out whats what after this weekend like you mentioned. Hoping for either or at this point, but real stiff competition like its been mentioned.
Personally, I don't view Tre Wood as a second option behind Adams, and if he is ready to commit this weekend, the staff should jump all over it. His quickness is real, and I think he'd be an excellent addition at PG.
I really liked Wood's film, haven't watched Adams though from the sounds of things it's impressive

It may be as simple as he realized he only has 5 official visits and wanted to make sure he used them on schools further away than Mason.
From the quotes he gave after visiting it sounds like he was impressed and had a great time, so we'll see what happens.

Adams tape just shows that he can be a 1 or 2. Definitely more of a scoring guard than pure point. From tape to me it looks like Woods is more of a pure PG.
Why good news? Is wood or adams better than Bird?
I don't know if Bird is better but Wood had an official visit planned for 29 SEP for vcu so he more than likely wont go if they have already signed a PG for 2018.

I only watched briefly some youtube highlights, but it appears the same to me. Wood seems a little bit quicker, whereas Adams appears to be a little "more polished" as a scorer. Both appear to be great prospects though.
What does Miller have to do with this discussion?
Is Miller not a 2018 recruit?
I glanced at rivals but didnt see anything. I dont have the time I used to, to look this stuff up.
