GIVING DAY 2023
I don't have any inside information but based on schedules from past seasons plus what people have posted here, I'd guess that the first month of the season is going to look about like this:

Fri 11/9?/2018 - home opener vs American
Thu 11/15?/2018 - ECC home game (NC Central?)
Sat 11/17?/2018 - ECC home game (W Michigan?)
Tue 11/20?/2018 - return game at Ga Southern ?? (would make sense to do this on the same trip)
Fri 11/23/2018 - ECC neutral floor vs Cincinnati
Sat 11/24/2018 - ECC neutral floor vs Baylor/Ole Miss

Also the NCAA tournament is a week later this season, so the A10 tournament will be a week later, so the A10 season probably won't start until something like January 6, which gives us an extra week to get our OOC games in. That should hopefully mean no games during finals this year.

I believe the season will start earlier than usual, in this case, November 6th. Whether Mason plays on that night is anyone's guess. It is new for this upcoming season.

Conference USA doing something interesting this year. 14 conference games scheduled, than the remaining 4 will pit the top seeded teams against each other, middle teams against each other and bottom teams against each other. Goal is to raise RPI's of contenders and get more teams in the tourney. Wonder if A-10 someday follows suit...

Interesting.

Doesn't the A10 take this concept when deciding the conference home-and-homes? I remember back when Butler was in the A10, they took the previous year's data (including RPIs, etc) and said that you'd play your georgraphic rival(s) and certain schools based on last year's data home-and-home. you played everyone else just once. not sure if thats still the case today. we certainly aren't keeping games as TBDs but I applaud the CUSA for being creative.

what happens if the top 4 teams all go 2-2 and the #5 or lower wins the Conference Tourney?
i believe this system works when the top 4 teams are clearly talented and superior, not sure of the value if those teams are weak.

I think they are trying to avoid a Middle Tennessee State getting jobbed by randomly losing a game at the end of the year?

This will be nicer than the A10 network I had to beam to my television from my laptop.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't ESPN+ simply a streaming service? Won't you still have to beam to your TV from your laptop if you want to see it on a big screen?

ESPN+ has an Apple TV app, the A10 network didn’t.

Why is this confusing? Apple TV, you know, the smart TV device that hooks up to your television like a Roku or an Amazon Fire? Just makes it easier than messing around with a laptop or air playing from your phone or tablet.

Pardon my ignorance, but is ESPN+ independent from having ESPN? So I should be able to watch without being an ESPN cable subscriber?
