I can't believe we got in a tournament with 3 other Power 5 programs like that, Cincy and Baylor have both been recent top 1 or 2 seeds in the NCAA tournament. Love it! Just wish it wasn't next year so I could go (will be out of vacay days by November)

My niece just got offered a full tuition scholarship to Ole Miss and will be going to Oxford this fall. This will be perfect!

According to the By George interview with Paulsen, he said we would be playing three Power 5 teams, two in the Emerald Coast Classic and the third road game - he said it was an Elite 8 team.

I don't think he would have said an Elite 8 team if the team would have won and went to the Final 4 - he probably would have said a Final 4 team... so, that leaves me to believe it's Kansas State, Florida State, Texas Tech, or Duke.

Any ideas on that third Power 5 game?

None, other than Beilein from Michigan once coached at Le Moyne where Paulsen did at one point. Perhaps they found a game while they are in Florida and theyll play Florida State?

I was thinking the same thing. Tallahassee is pretty close to where the Emerald Coast Classic is going to be played.

I have our hotel and reservation for Thanksgiving dinner already booked... Destin is a popular place for Central Illinois families to vacation. We have talked about going a few times, this is the perfect excuse.

I grew up in Niceville (and used to go to games when I was a kid when it was called OWCC). Definitely hop over the mid bay bridge and enjoy Destin.
