Why would he want to come here anyways, we have 3 pgs. A stud Jr, rising Soph and full of potential Fr. The Soph also just put up a vid of himself doing a bt the leg dunk.Thompson is visiting Butler tomorrow and vcu over the weekend.
0.000000000000000000001 percent chance he winds up at Mason. And that is optimistic.

I choose to be happy we're getting visits from 4 star recruits. Can't land them if you don't talk to them.

2017 Guard Aaron Thompson (Paul VI High) took a visit to GMU yesterday, per source. Ohio St, Butler, vcu & several other schools involved.

Bummer for vcu fans, I'm sure. I don't think we were ever really in contention, but great to be able to get visits from 4-star point guards. I think that's a great indication of Duane Simpkins' effect on the local recruiting scene and where the program is headed in the next few years.Aaron Thompson committed to Butler.
Aaron Thompson committed to Butler.
vcu fans thought he was pretty much a done deal to go there. A few have probably jumped off buildings/bridges after this commitment.Good. Was worried he was going to commit to vcu

He is really really good and a great pickup for Butler. I hope Simpkins can get these top ranked DMV kids for 2018 onto campus. A couple future stars less than 25 miles from campusBummer for vcu fans, I'm sure. I don't think we were ever really in contention, but great to be able to get visits from 4-star point guards. Can't blame Aaron Thompson. He wasn't going to start at PG next year with Otis averaging 30+mpg and having to compete with Javon Green for the remaining 10+mpg as the backup.
Just glad he didn't choose vcu.
Back to the drawing board...
Supposedly we picked up a commitment from Zach Garrett. What do we know about this guy? Anyone? I'm assuming he is a preferred walk-on.
