Wow Paulsen must have zero faith in anyone on the roster playing the 5 if this is who he's possibly getting to fill the void next season. Never averaged more than 0.9 PPG or 1.4 RPG in 3 seasons ..

You must be mistaken, according to these boards AJ Wilson is the answer to all our front court problems!

Do you have faith in anyone? I don't. Given the grad transfer options at the 5, take this guy and run with it. Throw as many bodies at the 5 and see what shakes out.

If he plays like he did in this video he's not gonna get too many minutes at Mason. Dont know how much his game has progressed since then but looking at his stats from freshman year when he played >15 minutes in back to back games, he fouled out both.

Obviously Paulsen had to like him to make the offer, and I'm sure he would be a good teammate if he signs but can't see him as a difference maker.

Wow. If this guy gets a scholarship, it reaffirms that Chris Jollay could have made the NBA if he was 6'9". :D
Why is everyone hatting so much. He was a 2 star recruit like the rest of our centers. The film quality sucks but that has nothing to do with his ability. Out of high school he was recruited by Seaton Hall, Boston College, Oklahoma. He was recruited over. It happens all the time.

The following year Seaton Hall landed PF Angel Delgado who is a espn top 100 4 star recruit. last season Delgado averaged 15 points a game and 13 rebounds which led the nation in rebounding and was second in double-doubles

So its pretty obvious why Rashad got little playing time.

I think people want a savior at the 5 next season, someone to plug in and be an instant difference maker, and he doesn't look like he will be one.

It we are going to carry four bigs next year, I've got to think either someone is going to red-shirt or we're going to a two forward line-up, because otherwise you're going to have 2 bigs playing practically no minutes wasting a year of eligibility on the bench.

If this guy wants to come to Mason, get started on his Masters and compete for playing time, I don't see any problem with that. This scholarship is use it or lose it, and at this point in the game there aren't many other attractive options out there.

In addition, there has to be a reason DP continues to look at big guys. Someone said a month ago or so that they saw Troy limping heavily coming out of the RAC. If he's not 100%, we will absolutely need a 3rd guy.
