Open to general public or just season ticket holders?

The email says "The Patriot Club Invites you to" but last year, it was to the public. I would imagine this year would be the same as well. I've gone to at least 3 of these already and never have they had a list or anything. you just walk right in. So I don't think it's exclusive.

My understanding is season ticket holders. I had to RSVP.

I was thinking the RSVP was more for them to get a handle on how much pizza to order. Even if the event invitation only went to season ticket holders, I'd be surprised if they would turn anyone away as there is plenty of room on the bleachers. And if turned away, you could always watch from the windows overlooking the court on the second floor of the RAC (although you'd need a Mason ID to get past the front desk.

It's open to the public. They also announced the open practice on the Mason Athletics Facebook page. It didn't say anything about being exclusive. RSVP must be for the pizza order.

I remember last year during the Paulsen Q&A part, there was a family across the court going for 2nd and 3rds in Pizza while 3/4ths of the fans there haven't even gotten their 1st serving yet. F...A...T!!!!!

We sat next to someone last year who got up and walked right past Paulsen during Q&A to be first in the pizza line. Cringe-worthy rude. And not necessary...they had a table worth of pizza left over last year that they were giving away outside when the event ended. Everyone should RSVP though so they can get a pretty close head count.

A person last year also asked where Corey was......

Yea, I remember that too. Kinda embarrassing, but a very diplomatic response from Paulsen. I think he'd rather deal with a stupid question than be knocked down by fat asses running for pizza.

He did handle that like a champ, which was a very difficult thing to do spur of the moment with literally everyone else in the building thinking "duh he graduated".

Reminds me of the Tony Snow incident in Dayton in 06, which L also handled like a champ. Hmmm, yet another similarity between DP and L...

How are they going to pull that off? Even if we smacked a big corporate logo on it, replica jerseys aren't cheap.

im not so sure about the "jersey" thing. Im assuming it wont fit me as my big gut really fills out the stadium giveaway shirts. So looks like my niece might be getting a Mason replica jersey to go along with her collection of Green Game tee-shirts. Im not to big on bobbleheads either. Id rather get a really nice coffee mug or better yet a voucher for free tickets to an away game. That would be a great way to give back to us season ticket holders.

I know this was forever ago, but remember when there were collector glasses throughout the season. I think that should be brought back.

Why not just a voucher to the bookstore or something so people can get what they want? Season ticket holders will clearly be willing to pay the difference if they want something nicer like an under armor product.

No matter what the giveaway is there will be some people who it's really not their thing. With that said, I would like to see car magnets, lanyards, or a drawstring sports bag. Those are things I'd actually use.

You can get car magnets for less than a dollar each

You can get lanyards for around a buck

Yep, I still have them. Included George Evans, Jason Miskiri, Kenny "The Chemist" Sanders, Coach L, etc. Some of these were like a history lesson...had to explain to some younger alums who Kenny Sanders was.

All of which should have their names in the rafters.
