Some vcu fans have short memories. They took great delight in poking fun when Coach L left. now? Either feel bad for them or you're a jerk

The way some of the people on @MasonMBB's payroll are reacting publicly to Shaka Smart leaving is beyond embarrassing.

Who is on payroll and said anything? huh?
He's talking about Rohland calling them out for being hypocrites.
Maybe the can attract a great coach with their $25m practice facility and $1.8m pay. But if they aren't successful with this hire then all that will be a huge burden for them to pay off. The question is, Do the big donors stick around? In college I was sort of jealous of friends who went into debt buying expensive flat screen tvs and nice cars while I watched a Sanyo and drove a Corolla. Fast forward several years and many of them are back living in their parents basement while I'm doing pretty well. Sorry to go off-topic, no analogy to be made there.
You have to imagine the odds are low that vcu gets a 4th consecutive successful hire. They're bound to get a dud like Hewitt one of these days.
I expect vcu to move quick to get someone in there to hold on to those big-time recruits. They would be wise to give a call to Anthony Grant.

That assumes their AD has his head in the job as he was looking while at the FF.
I am sure his dad helped him make that decision. Although, if Coach Cal leaves Kentucky, that drops them back to the field and does the Alabama job become more attractive?Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN 6m6 minutes ago
Minnesota coach Richard Pitino has withdrawn from the Alabama search, sources told ESPN.
