Maybe he has heard about the size of my jock strapIf you are into that kind of thing, more power to you. But, I am not sure if it helps us to hire him or not.

One reason he's free to swing for the fences is because even if he doesn't knock it out of the park, he's most likely gonna wind up with a stand-up double at worst.
Prohm = HR
Young = Triple
Moton = Double
Now that Charlotte has hired Price, our biggest competition for Moton is gone. Young hasn't even been mentioned in connection with any other jobs.
No way we're hitting a single with this hire. No freaking way.
Not even a walk - it was shitting your pants.While we're throwing out baseball analogies, what was the Hewitt hire? At time it felt like a double but now I'd say it was a walk at best.

You are assuming that decision gets us to the plate to swing. I don't think we made it out of the mens room and got stuck trying to clean shit off our shirt.hit by pitch....
I thought the link said that Hurley had agreed to an extension, but wasn't signing anything yet and still wanted to keep his options open.
If I read that wrong, or am simply remembering something that never existed, my apologies.
Murray State lost on a buzzer beater prayer at ODU, not a far drive from Norfolk to Fairfax for a meeting

This article says that Prohm had turned down Mississippi State's offer of $1m a few years back:

Also talks about Anthony Grant (who is described in terms similar to some complaints about Hewitt not being out in the community).

Some good stuff here on open coaching jobs. But we don't even get a mention. WTF?

Because as I have been cautioned....despite what we feel here on the boards....the George Mason name is not "trendy" in the coaching world.
We're in a good conference, good location, but we have been weakened by the Hewitt regime, questions about commitment linger from Larranaga, and are usually a backseat program in hotbed market.
I keep reading on other team’s message boards about Larranaga leaving and how this job can't be that good because we let him go. Coaches will know that all that was under a different president and a different AD.
I think our job falls somewhere in the middle of other people's perception and our perception. It's not nearly as bad as others think, but we aren't Georgetown or Maryland either.
If you want to coach in a multi-bid league for a team in a great recruiting area that has mediocre facilities, this is your place. Hopefully those in power have a plan to upgrade the facilities that they can show to coaches to make it even more appealing.
