I'm conflicted for tonight - there's a part of me that wants Murray St to win because they are playing ODU... and why would I ever root for ODU?

BUT

There is also another part of me that wants the season to end for Prohm so we can get this coaching search moving along and see if he's going to be our guy.

The more NIT games Prohm wins the more P5 looks he is going to get. Alabama is ultimately going to hire either Prohm or Michael White. Both are in the NIT still.

Five Two and I and were just talking about this dilemma before agreeing that we want ODU to win. There really is no rivalry anymore now that they aren't in our conference, plus we never have to listen to Razor and T-Mac gloat when they do win.

The last thing we want is Prohm raising his stock even more by winning the NIT, so I am hoping for an ODU blowout after which Prohm walks off the court in shame and Jeff Jones bangs a Monarch cheerleader in the lockerroom.

"My opinion on some people to be considered as a possible replacement at Alabama: Paul Hewitt-former Georgia Tech and George Mason head coach, Jeff Capel-has head coaching experience at vcu and Oklahoma-current assistant coach at Duke, Bobby Hurley-current head coach at Buffalo, and Chris Mack-current head coach at Xavier."

It's really too bad that some very good ODU posters, like Coach, are just completely over-shadowed in our memories by the ISIS-style, rape-and-destroy, bait-and-troll wonder twins.

The Lavin situation is both interesting and hilarious... WFAN reporting that they know that he's meeting with the school admins, but they don't know if its because he's getting fired, or if he's getting a contract extension. This is almost more fun than the basketball itself.

St. John's brass know that DePaul is making a play for Hurley. They want to create an opening for him closer to home.

Either way, Hurley figures to get paid ... and Buffalo figures to get screwed.

I don't know why St. Johns will fire Lavin. He's done a rather decent job there.
