Yeah it is.

Hence my disclaimer that it might be asking a lot. With mostly everybody agreeing that our junior class has been a major bust, I see no reason why a couple of our incoming recruits can't get substantial minutes next year.

Although I think Porter is at least a year from being able to contribute, it's not inconceivable that Lockett and Mayimba can contribute three buckets a game if they are given the same freshman minutes as these guys you mentioned (especially if we play a more uptempo style).

Will Thomas: 23
Luke Hancock: 23
Cam Long 17.9
Ryan Pearson: 17.1
Folarin Campbell: 16.9
Sherrod Wright: 16

Does this mean the staff is anticipating or already knows that someone is leaving at the end of the season?

Did anyone mention that Coach Hewitt was at the WCAC Finals between Paul VI & DeMatha at Bender Arena on Tuesday night?

Wow that kid can jump. No idea if he can shoot based on that video, but he can definitely jump.

No kidding. Dude has some serious hops. Between he and a Porter, we'd have our bases covered in the dunking department.

Porter made his first six free throws en route to making 7 of 11 free throws while scoring a game-high 19 points. He was equally as important on offense, blocking shots, and using his height and broad shoulders to clog the lane, rendering Halifax’s offense virtually useless.

With the game already well in hand after Potomac took a 30-11 halftime lead, Haynes scored 10 of his 18 points in the third quarter as the Panthers outscored the Comets 21-6 in the period. It could have been much worse for Halifax, but Porter spent much of the third quarter on the bench.

The frustration for Halifax reached its zenith with 5:44 left in the third quarter when Porter threw down a thunderous dunk and an unidentified fan near the Halifax rooting section threw an object onto the court. The game was delayed for several minutes, while Potomac administrators and several on-site police officers sorted out the details. Shortly before play resumed, a Potomac fan, waving a blue towel ran, onto the court before he was escorted out by officers.

That JC kid, Purcell looks like a must have for Mason. Chances are Okoloje, Grey, and maybe even Edwards are heading out, giving us three more slots to fill. Might as well grab some high scoring guards. He reminds me of even more athletic Sherrod Wright. Bring him on.

Feels like ages since a big Mike Mo dunk at Mason... time to rematch the end of the Villanova game...

When was the last time we ran a play for a back door lob for a dunk. I love those plays, it tells me the coaches and the players can actually diagnose defenses for easy buckets. So I guess it would make sense that it has not happened recently.

To keep it on track, I am really excited to see what Porter can do at Mason over 4 years.

For all you losers in the Arlington area tomorrow night, Trey Porter and the Potomac (VA) Tigers (26-0) will be playing for the 5A North Region Championship at Wakefield (23-4) and winners of 13 straight games. They are coached by friend of PoorManProfit and, like the PoorManProfit, a graduate of Washington-Lee High School. Game time scheduled for 7 PM.
