"DeAndre Abram led the way for the Panthers, finishing with his fourth double-double of the season on his "Senior Day". He finished with 18 points and 12 boards, with his rebound total including the 500th of his collegiate career."

Kudos to Dane. He must be doing something right..the Tribe finished second in the CAA, 1 game behind Hofstra. Yet their Kenpom offensive efficiency is 5th in the conference and their defensive efficiency is 6th!

Follow up: Kenpom has W&M #2 in the "Luck" factor which tends to happen when you win a number of close games and your overall record is better than one would predict from your "efficiency" numbers. The Tribe have done well in close games, but many of the games they have lost have been blowouts.

Mason was high on this factor early in the year....we are now #86

If kenpom has paid attention to our injuries over the last 5 years, they would have us dead last in the luck factor...

not sure where to post this, but JMU's head coach Rowe's firing appears imminent. Looks like they are gonna have a clean slate new coach and new arena.

41% win % in conf for Rowe.

43% win % in conf for DP.

I hope Brad is closely analyzing the coaching landscape.

For someone who never made it down to JMUs old arena, what is it comparable to in the A10? LaSalle oversized high school type gym? Or just a dated arena?

It's actually a nice gym for a program like JMU. If memory serves, it holds about 6K and used to be referred to as the "Electric Zoo" (especially back in the late 80s and 90s when the left hander was in charge. I really enjoyed going to games there and they used to get some quality P5s to visit.

I disagree. I went to several games at JMU. It's a lot like GW's Smith Center only uglier and cheaper.

Kudos to JMU for not going past the 4 year mark with someone who can't get it done. I'm optimistic for them with the shiny new facility that they can get someone there that can get them back in the top half of the CAA and a reasonable shot at a NCAA berth from time to time. That being said, I don't think they are long for the CAA either.
