Truth. It's interesting to me that basketball players rarely go through another growth spurt. I know so many people who grew through out college. But basketball players seem to have grown early.

Dude.... that is just false man. do a quick google search of college basketball players hitting growth spurt... Hell, Anthony Davis just grew an inch last year in the NBA

David Robinson grew like a foot while at Navy (which is lucky for them because they have a height limit for cadets normally -- someone who is 7'1" can't fit into a submarine).

Otis finished the season by making 21 consecutive FT's including 6-6 in the CBI. He broke a 40-year old school record by shooting 91.9% (124-135) from the FT line this season.

Best Performances:
Ironically, one of Otis Livingston II’s best performances of the season came in one of George Mason’s most disappointing losses. The sophomore dropped a career-high 29 points on Saint Louis, but the Patriots would go on to lose in double overtime. Perhaps one of Livingston II’s most gutty performances this past season came on the road against Massachusetts, where his 22 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals willed George Mason to a 2 point victory over the Minutemen. He also had 19 point conference performances against Fordham and La Salle in which he was perfect from behind the three point line in both games.Despite a tough loss to Loyola MD in the CBI, Livingston II led the way with 19 points.

Through 2 (and change) years in the program, Otis Livingston is on pace to be in the conversation as the greatest GMU basketball player ever.

He's on pace to finish 4th in career scoring, 2nd in career assists, 1st in career FT percentage, #3 all time in Three Pointers made (he's already in the top 20), and is likely in the conversation for top 10 3 point percentage all time.

He's also probably going to have 400 rebounds in his career.

Lets all appreciate what we're seeing while we still have plenty of time to watch it happen.

Not really, he had almost no guards on the roster at that point. If he didn't pan out he would have transferred like the rest of the guys in that class and we would have went with someone else.

I don't know how much of a gamble it was. Otis was small but he held his own against some high-major recruits in New Jersey. It's a mystery why he was so underrecruited.

I thought he might have had some kind of an injury his junior year? I might be wrong, but I thought that's why he wasn't as recruited as much as he should have been.

No gamble when you're hired in March and start recruiting in April after half a team walked.

I think he was just a late bloomer. Like so many of our guys, Otis didn't play shoe circuit AAU and played for a public HS so his recruiting exposure was very limited.

Plus college coaches thought he was too small to play on this level. Clearly they were wrong.
