Otis played 26 minutes in the 83-74 loss to GW on Sunday, which ties his career low. For his career (61 games), he's played a total of 2,091 minutes.

To provide perspective on Otis' playing time, Will Thomas holds the school record of 4,144 minutes played (131 games).

Posted this on twitter the other day but it bears repeating here. Otis has 849 career points, which puts him 151 away from 1,000. If we play another game or two this year, he probably gets to 1,000 in the OOC portion of next year's schedule. He's played 65 games through his first two seasons, so if we assume he's got another 65 games left in his career, here's what he would need to average in order to hit certain milestones:

1,500 points: 10 points per game
1,750 points: 13.9 ppg
2,000 points: 17.7 ppg

He averaged 14.2 points per game this season, and that was with some extended shooting slumps. Kind of wild to think he's a shoo-in for a 1,500 point career even if he misses time. 2,000 points is a long shot, but it's fun to think about!

Let's hope he gets more than 65 more games.

Otis enters the CBI shooting 91.5% (118-129) from the FT line this season. He's on pace to break the school's 40-year old record for FT% in a season (minimum 50 attempts): Steve Bacon - 87.1%.

Last season, Otis shot 77.7% from the FT line (87-112).

And knowing how competitive Otis is, I bet he can remember exactly when and against which team he missed each those 11 FTs.

I could see Otis coaching a D2 team for a few years then a mt st Mary's level team for a few years, then when DP retires in 15 years Otis taking over here...with jalen as an assistant.

That will be a tall order for a 5-11 guard from a non p5 (pun intended). Not impossible, just tough.

Truth. It's interesting to me that basketball players rarely go through another growth spurt. I know so many people who grew through out college. But basketball players seem to have grown early.
