Otis Livingston II scores 2 of his 18 points in helping @MasonMBB to their win over UMass. The win moves the Patriots to 11-4 (1-1 A10)

He's doing a Grayson Allen to the UMass player! :superhappy:

Otis is suppose to be our team leader! He has not played well in the last three games. In these three games, he has forced shots, defense was deficient and most importantly he did not lead or support his team. I sit directly behind the bench. In these three games he has hung his head and hasn't been the team motivator we look for. A team captain is suppose to continue to support and encourage his teammates through the good and bad times. I'm Otis biggest fan, but if you're a leader you can't lead in just the good times!!!!

Otis is an extremely competent three point shooter, but doesn't look for them. Not his fault, but I'd like to see more set plays where he gets a good screen and an opportunity to shoot fairly unguarded. His height is, unfortunately, a problem in this league since he can't shoot over people. All those dribble drives make a lot of sense because he's a superior FT shooter. But this guard-heavy team could stand to take more threes in my extremely humble opinion and Otis could be another threat from back there

I suppose you'll just have to chill out.

Seriously, Otis is averaging 34+ minutes per game, second to Marquise. It's a gotta be wearing out his stamina. He has not shot well lately until today after an 8-day layoff. He played very well coming off the bye vs. Richmond. He looked re-fueled.

Otis shot 4-12 from the field vs. UR, including 1-5 behind the arc.

I said he shot well, meaning he took good shots. My apologies, bad choice of words. Yes, Otis did not make as many as all of us would have liked, but his shot looked better. He looked energized and wasn't missing his shots by much.

The old Sophomore Slump—don't let it drag you down Sir Otis!

"Big three pointers by each of the Mason deep shooters helped get the team a twenty point lead early in the second half. Coming out of halftime the team was 5-11 from long range and not showing any sign at slowing down.

But they did and Otis Livingston II fell back into the shooting slump that he has been in since the start of conference play. In the contest he shot 4-12, including 0-5 in the second half. In conference play he is shooting a mere 27 percent."

"To get Livingston out of his funk, the best option is to let him keep shooting the open jumpers, which the team let him do. A solid 4-7 start showed encouraging signs but the final half was a different story.

Eventually they will fall in but the team has to have that third scorer when Livingston is not the finding the ball in the net."

Sounds like legs to me. Richmond also did a better job through most of the second half at taking away the easier shots in the paint (although he missed a pretty wide open 3 at the top of the key which was a little disappointing).

"Livingston ‘going to play in the NBA’
Linden High School coach Phil Colicchio uses Livingston as an example, too, when he interacts with college coaches. Colicchio told anyone who would listen that the 5-foot-11 grinder would be an impact collegian.

Sure enough, Livingston averages 14.3 points and 3.1 assists per game for the Patriots, who are 14-7. He is shooting 89.5 percent from the free-throw line and leads the team in steals with 30.

'It doesn’t surprise me one bit,' Colicchio said. 'I sang Otis’ praises and I told people, 'George Mason got a steal.' I tell people now, 'That kid is going to play in the NBA,’ and people laugh at me again."

I love Otis and believe he was a great steal for Mason, but the NBA comment?
