Obviously, the work he puts in here is what really matters (obviously statements are obvious), but he did come from a coach who has won 6 consecutive state championships, so he's coming from a program that is doing a lot of things right. And he's coming in to a coach who is going to demand intense focus, attention to detail, and maximum effort during every minute of practice, so I'm not too concerned about what this kid's work ethic is going to look like.

And if we're talking barometers of success, look at his offer sheet: Iowa State, Nebraska, DePaul, Xavier, Northern Iowa.

The kid clearly wanted to play right away looking at his other offers. We gave him the best chance and he must really like Paulsen and the staff. This kid will be a gem to watch in the years to come..

The state of Minnesota is producing some legit ballers. Matthew Hurt and Tre Jones are both gonna wind up playing for a blue blood.

They're gonna have to REALLY like him to offer, given our depth at the guard spots and need for bigs.

Then again, with the way kids transfer it makes sense to use all 13 scholarships. We might wind up with 2-3 open spots for the Class of 2018 anyhow.
