Welcome Goanar Mar

I was concerned about Razor's mental well-being. He seemed to go off the deep end sometimes, posting manifestos at like 3 a.m.

I watched the stream of the first half of the Cap Classic. G-Mar had a nice block, air-balled a 3, then spun in a 3. The players on both teams were taking shots from the NBA 3 line marked on the Wizards home court. Most of the players' attempts missed badly.

G-Mar was all over the floor and played fairly good defense. The commentators mentioned that he was "impressive" on D.

I also saw a Mason fan in the stands wearing a Mason sweatshirt. Must have been "gsLL" or perhaps "GSII"—I really couldn't make out his face from the video feed.

The feed was unwatchable on my computer. I tried watching for a bit in the last quarter and heard Mar's name (missing a 3) with about 3 minutes left, but gave up after that. From what I could tell it was a typical all-star game with lots of 1-on-1 showboating.

I would guess 9-12 months, depending on how quickly they can find a cadaver willing to donate a spare tendon.

Fortunately since it was done in high school Mason will not have to dip into practice facility funds to pay for the surgery.

We need an active moderator to clean up these troll accounts. Not funny anymore.

Sorry. While I have access to the main page, I don't have access to the message boards. I know Chris is dealing with things way more important than message board trolls at the moment, but hopefully things will get taken care of soon.

GIVING DAY 2023
Attended the game with masonfanatic and it was an obvious all star game but it was fun to see all the talent that will be playing at high major schools and others at the game.

As far as Mar goes- hard to tell anything specific or new, but he's definitely going to help in the paint. He had a nice block in transition. In addition it's obvious that he can shoot from deep so he's very versatile. He didn't look overmatched by any stretch (not that anyone would in an all star game), but he should be a great addition to the program for the next 4 years.

Walk-On
was able to stay for the first half. toddler couldn't last after the long half time award presentations. weird timing.

impressed with mar's activity on the defensive end. hard to tell how 'good' the defense was in this format, but he definitely put out a lot more effort on that end than most everyone else which is a good sign.

overall, there were a lot of freak athletes (it was staggering to watch the first game knowing that the kids are the same age) that could handle the ball & get to the basket and finish, but was surprised at the lack of shooters. lots of 3s went up but only a couple went in (thankfully one was from mar). tanneyhill's kid that was the mvp of the first game would've had a field day sitting at the 3 point line catching kick outs off the drives.

another oddity - most of the local kids are committed outside the area, but a couple of the national kids coming to local schools.
