I heard the chant all the over in Section 130 so I presume the bench heard it too.

Really? A bunch of college kids, fed up with a coach and his bad form and lack of performance....Seems fair game to me.

Happens in all sports. It won't happen if there's a winning product on the court. This is what mediocrity gets you and it's rightfully deserved. It's hard to cheer when you have nothing to cheer for.

I find it rude that a man who gets paid $700,000/year refuses to/can't do his job. I find it bad form and immature that an AD like TOC performed such a lazy search for a new coach.

And yes, its f**king hilarious to me. I love it that some fans have enough passion about the game to publicly let these assholes know we are not pleased with their performance.

I hope the public resentment shown for Hewitt and TOC tonight increases exponentially.

I thought considering it was still break, that the student crowd was pretty good. The overall crowd was too. But remember the dynamics of cheering, you want to cheer for good things.....sooooo yeah.

Its hard for the students to disrupt the opponents foul shots in the 2nd half from 90 feet behind the shooter. That's not to say that they can't do it in the first half, but opponents have to love shooting into empty seats when the game is on the line in the 2nd half.

I'm not sure how many of those were even students. They had some promo to let students bring up to 3 friends for free, which was good for putting bodies in seats but not for inspiring passion.

Isn't TOC almost always there? He just moves around from game to game and usually sits up in the stands rather than courtside, unless he's entertaining a VIP.

1. Not all students are back from break yet.
2. Even if they were, what should they be cheering for? Poor product on the floor.
3. Our student section has been fairly poor the last several years outside of a few select games (vcu, JMU, Home Opener, Homecoming).

It's really unfortunate, however, apathy has set in on the G Mas basketball program. It's a real shame.
