I'm not insulting him for recruiting Chris Bosh, I'm insulting him for not being able to do anything with him while he was there.

In fact, there were 3 NBA players on that roster and he went 16-15 and 7-9 in the ACC.

Asking because I don't know - do we have any insight that any of these players that left after Paulsen arrived wanted to stay, but Paulsen gave them the boot?

In my experience, keeping players that don't really want to be there is never good... doesn't work out very well. Everything I've seen said that the guys wanted out, but I'm wondering if I'm wrong?

The next time DP is paid by 2 different schools (at the same time) to sit on his butt and do zippy then we can compare the two. The fact that we didn't go to the tourney with Pearson dominating all season was criminal.

eh I heard the same exact things from a player on the team.... (not best source considering his own issues), BUT I do think that is somewhat valid... I didn't expect him to keep them all... But Trey Porter was a clear miss as he downgraded.. the other 3 went to Power 5.. so who knows if Paulsen even had a chance.

I hate the deadhorse of debating the talent that transferred when Paulsen came in (whoops wrong thread), but regardless, Porter went to ODU, that wasn't really a downgrade as he was productive there. Now he is at Nevada as a redshirt senior. He is probably much more mature at this point. Hewitt really messed with him because he came in skinny with health issues and really needed a red-shirt year. Even my wife used to refer to him as the player who needed to eat.
