I would love to see us go after Brad Underwood of SFA. He's served his time under Frank Martin at K-State (followed by U of SC) and when finally given the opportunity he showed that he can coach a team to victory. As a KSU fan, he was always known as the X's and O's guys in the huddle, which I think would be a nice change of pace compared to the last few years. All of this is said in the hopes of the new AD clearing a little bit of space of course.

Also, when Martin "left" KSU, many fans wanted Underwood to take over the program. This never gained any traction just because of his lack of HC experience.

How about waking Blaine Taylor up from his drunken stupor and seeing if he cant knock the rust off and coach?

We could get lucky, maybe he is like Denzel in that Flight movie and does his best work when hes nursing a wicked hangover and needs a quick fix of coacine to get back to his wits.

I think Blaine's last year was testimony that drinking didn't bring out the best in his coaching ability.

Is Mike Rice available? Some have been begging for a coach with passion....nothing says passion like throwing basketballs at your players heads. Makes Brusier Flints intensity look like Ellen Degenerous.

Jon Rothstein is reporting that Mike Rhodes has been hired as the new head coach at Rice. No way vcu or Shaka would have let him leave if Shaka was on the way out.

Shaka gives him a ton of credit and I have no reason to believe he's being insincere.

Many vcu fans were concerned about the impact of losing him -- not as much as losing Shaka, obviously, but I know a bunch of people who think that Rhoades was the best tactician on the staff.

That's a great hire for Rice. Expectations aren't crazy unrealistic there, so he'll have time to build the program the right way. The guy has been a winner at every level, no reason to think that's gonna change any time soon.

I agree, the more the merrier! To me, there are never enough NCAAT games. The first Thursday and Friday are the best...why, because there are SO MANY games!

Just 34, but has the ear of Beilein and has been tabbed as a head coach in waiting. Played and coached under Lickliter at Butler, then at Iowa, before going to Michigan.

Was ready to go to USF until the nixed the deal....now kind of waiting in the wings and not sure about if Manhattan would take him back. Known as a top upcoming coach and a Rick Petino underling.....

I dunno. I just looked at his picture. Shouldn't judge appearances, but Masiallo just looks like a shady guy to me. Maybe that's what Mason needs. LOL.
