Wait and see ... UR’s roster attrition might not be done yet.

And Mooney has at least three more years left on his deal, so they’re pretty well stuck with him unless they’re willing to pay him $4M to go away.

I read there may be another player jumping ship this week. I believe Mooney has 4-5 more seasons on his contract. They looked like they were set up similar to us headed into next season returning their whole roster. The school has the money to pull the plug on Mooney at any time but I foresee it being after next season. I thought they would be top 3 before these recent moves, now not so much.
If Golden decides to leave they are screwed.

I thought Golden was the most likely to leave all along, because he’d like to play with his brother — who is being recruited heavily by P5 schools since decommitting from Pitt — and has proven he is capable of playing at a much higher level than Richmond.

He got a medical redshirt last year so if he transfers and sits out, he’ll get the fifth year from the NCAA on the back end. That means he and his brother could play 3 seasons together.

I’d be looking elsewhere if I was him. It’s only a matter of time before Mooney gets canned and they blow the whole thing up anyhow.

If this were just vcu and their unwashed masses suffering losses I'd be celebrating, but I don't want the A-10 to become the CAA. Would be nice to see more news of talent coming into the league than leaving.

note: I still hate basically every team (except the Bonnies, those fans can party), but see the value in a strong conference.

Davidson, UMass, St. Louis, GMU should all be top 100. St. Joes, Duquesne, and URI have potential. I think the A-10 will be fine, it’s just the teams we have been used to seeing at the top might not be next season.

I have a few friends that went to St. Bona - I usually root for them unless they are playing Mason. I think they are the only A-10 school that Mason has not beaten since joining the conference. Hope that changes next year - I think the game is on the road though.

As long as Mason is winning, the rest of the A-10 can F itself with a rusty spork. Just my $.02.

I was only able to listen to the first 30 minutes so far during my lunch break, but I'm loving the interview. This is the kind of product I really enjoy - all the little stuff straight from the man himself.

Excellent job.
