I usually consider east East of the Mississippi anyway. Anything from Texas to the coast is the west.

The problem if you are a southern California kid and not getting heavily recruited by California schools, there aren't a whole lot of "close" options for you anyway -- four schools in Arizona, 2 in New Mexico (which isn't exactly close), 2 in Nevada. Oregon and Washington might as well be Kansas from L.A. or San Diego. Heck, even San Jose State (which I think offered Hartwell) is farther away than ASU (Tempe) or GCU (North Phoenix) would be from San Diego. So, if you're going to be on a plane anyway, why not try the East Coast?

With all the work they have done to EBA over the last few years and now this years locker room renovation, I don't think we'll see a new arena for Mason basketball in most of our lifetimes. I just wish they would replace those awful hard plastic seats and figure out how to expand the gold room and I'd be good with that.

Great idea, Chank! He should definitely brush up on his dental skills and aim to get to the root of this by filling out the proper paperwork. I imagine, though, that he would be crestfallen if he couldn't cross that bridge. If he is in denial about being on the cusp of greatness and wearing that proverbial crown, somebody should tell him bluntly, "You can't handle the tooth!"
