JMU - WM on TV. Blaine Taylor interviewed Matt Brady. Taylor looked entirely different to me. Dropped some pounds and now has white 'stache and a goatee. Don't want either of them as the new coach.

W&M up 21 at half, went on a 25-0 run at one point. Marcus Thornton still on W&M, feels like he's been there 10 years.

I watched the replay...and the idiot editors, in order to shorten the game, deleted most, if not all, of the 25-0 run. As a W&M and Thornton fan, that was the best part. In fact, better editing would have been to cut to the end of the game after the run...

Thornton, with 1,922 points, is now 130 points away from tying the all-time scoring record, held by W&M legend, Chet Giermak, who played from 1947 - 1950.

I saw that too the other day. Good for him.

He's either liking TV or wanting to get back in some where with the make over.

Oh, ok - I probably didn't realize I was watching the replay. Thornton is hard not to root for - that scoring record should be broken.

I see Radford beat High Point tonight. Mike Jones has done a decent job there - wouldn't mind Mason taking a look at him.

Looks pretty good to me. 6 wins his first year, 13 his second, 22 his third and already 17 this year.

Polar opposite of the trend line our beloved coach has going.
Misread the chart. I am used to reading a trend chart from left to right.

UAB's Jerod Hasse should looked at closely.

Watching High Point at Coastal Carolina on ESPNU. HP with only 3 TO's w/ 16 minutes left in the 2nd half. HP back in first place in a tightly contested Big South. Cherry definitely intriguing. I'd take him over Christian.

Cherry would be great. Twice as good as Dan Hurley.

I like him as well, but he was below .500 overall as a 5 yr head coach going into this year. On the other hand, he has won the Big South North Division the last 2 years.

BTW, I watched most of the second half of the High Point. They blew a 5 pt lead in the last 5 minutes and lost at Coastal Carolina. Pretty much lead the whole game but was on the short end of something like a 14-3 run.

I know I didn't have much success with my last endorsement of a fired head coach, but Dana Altman could be an intriguing name if he is terminated by Oregon. I always admired what he did with the Creighton program before he left for Oregon.

That said, I still like Tony Shaver a lot. His team put up 100 points against a good Hofstra team the other night, and they were crushing JMU in Harrisonburg last time I looked.
Would take Shaver in a heart beat. He is consistent, well organized and plays good team ball on both ends of the court. I think the system he runs can take average athletes and make them better, if he gets a stud or two every few years all the better.
