I'd be very surprised if he wasn't picked up long-term at Butler. 5-1 so far this season with wins already UNC and Georgetown.

Holtman is an example of a coach who could have been hired from Gardner-Webb if we had an AD who really did know basketball and who knew who the hot up-and-coming coaches were. Instead we had a incompetent dinosaur as AD who hired a "coach" who a sportswriter in Atlanta referred to as the worst basketball coach in America.

Both ODU and GW hired coaches with deep roots and ties in the DMV, and have righted their respective programs very quickly.

Jones and Lonergan are both solid, detail-oriented coaches who emphasize defense and fundamental play.
