I would assume he doesn’t mention anyone as a dark horse if they don’t have any chance at an at-large. Not sure this is a huge sign of disrespect because even the most optimistic of us know that an at-large is gone.

That graphic shows how close we were to having the season we were all hoping for.

People wrote us off because we lost by 1 to Penn, which spiraled into a loss to American, and started 2-5.

But this team was never as bad as some thought. It’s two 1-point losses away from having a pretty strong at-large resume.

A look at the A10 this week.

Right now there are 7 teams with 2 or less losses. Still a big mess at the top. RI has to go to UMass today, so that’s not a gimme for them to stay at two losses, but they probably will win that one.

This week:

RI has a tough stretch going to Duquesne and then hosting St Louis. I don’t see them winning both (and today’s UMass game) to stay at 2 losses.

Dayton home vs St Joe’s and home vs Duquesne

Duquesne is home vs RI and on the road at Dayton. Tough two games.

St Louis hosts Richmond and goes to RI

Davidson has just one game this week at St Bonaventure

vcu just one game vs Mason

So, big weeks for RI and Duquesne if they want to stay with the pack at the top.

It would be nice if some of theses teams would drop off, so since we know we have the tiebreaker over RI, we should be rooting for them over Duquesne and St Louis... correct?

I would agree, same with Dayton. We are going to have a near sellout most likely for homecoming vs Duquesne, so hopefully we get that tie breaker too. Split with vcu and beat Duquesne and I think we are in great shape for top 4.
