I honestly have no feel for where we finish given what we have seen so far. Part of me thinks it is the bottom of the A10. Part of me thinks smack in the middle and the other part says we will be top 4.

I’ll go with my heart and say the team that plays the good halves in games shows up and we finish fourth in the A10.

I think about 7th place in the A-10 is about right. We always lose games to Fordham and Duquense that we shouldn't and I don't see this year being any different.

Duquesne isn't a BAD team anymore... Dambrot is crafting the blueprint of how to turn a team around.... Recruit 12 guys, have a couple of scholly players from past coach get recruited over and leave and start from there... He might be my favorite coach in the A10... sucks that Hughes just transferred out.

My green goggles are officially completely clear, I see us finishing very middle of the pack. I still see potential and haven't lost all hope, but I need to see something here.

If we can steal a few road wins against solid teams, like last night at St. Joes, then Top 4 finish will be very likely. If we go through the motions on the road and lose to scrub and mediocre teams then a 6-8 finish is more of a reality.

Can we keep this up? I believe so. Our rotation is starting to come together.

Need to make the bottom tier teams our bitchh... ie GW, La Salle, Fordham, etc. No reason ever to lose to these teams this year.

Our guys were humbled early and now have found their confidence just in time for conference play (although I believe it started at K-State). Much better than the other way around...

vcu routs Fordham, Davidson survives the Duqs (looks like neither Davidson or Duquesne has much of a bench).

Key this year is to keep a home court advantage. Otherwise we’ll be middle of the pack.

If this was simple. We would sweep at home (9 wins) and be looking to pick up 4-5 road wins for a top of conference finish.

Unfortunately we don’t have the same home court advantage as in the past, but based on matchups we hopefully don’t drop more than 2 at home. That’d get us 7 wins.

We already got one road win and should hopefully grab at least 3 more. That would put us in the 11 win range.

I can’t remember the last time we swept cellar dwellers and don’t expect to this year. Every team in this conference always seems to have at least one stinker against the bottom. My hope is that we limit the damage to just one, unlike recent years.

That was my best case scenario was going 8-1 at home and 4-5 in road games. Gets us to 12-6 and 18-13 overall, which would be a miracle turnaround given the first 3 games of the season.

But given our home schedule, 8-1 is a tough lift. 6-3 probably more realistic.

Still think anywhere between 8-10 and 12-6 is possible. Winning at SJU gives us one that we weren't supposed to get, so that narrows the window a little, in favor of best case scenario.

In a way, game today vs. SBU is even more important, if we can steal some on the road and not give it back against a bottom 3rd team at home, then we get closer and closer to the upper half of best case scenario by continuing the recent trend of playing much much better D and more consistently overall.

Remember, we are 3 possessions away from being 10-4

Didn't know where else to put this but SLU just beat La Salle at in Philly 71-64. Whoever this Hasahn French guy is for SLU almost single handedly beat La Salle by himself. Guy looked like a man among boys all night. 6-7 and 240.

It's pretty clear to me that our team goes as Otis goes. If he plays like shit, we're probably going to lose. If he plays well, we're probably going to win. I know this seems very simple, but sometimes basketball is a simple game. Otis is our best player, and team leader, and he's going to carry the team to success or failure.

He still needs to stop dribbling so much and pass the ball to start our offense. He could also help the team by stepping up defensively. His career stats are remarkable, no denying that, but he has disappeared in multiple games this year. I would appreciate consistent production.

Need the bottom teams in the conference to start picking up some wins or top four is gonna be a difficult this year.
